I went out a couple more times to visit with them. I was trying to find out who was not laying and warn her she might become history. Granny said that the white ones are not as good as the black ones so they are going away. I wonder where they will go. Maybe next time they will be able to come out and play with me. Granny is selling the eggs now instead of giving them away because she has to buy more food. She also said that Chuck, one of Mom's brothers, was going to chop down some trees so there would be more sunshine in their pen and they would all lay eggs. Maybe they won't have to go away then.

We have this deck with a bench on it that we can get up on and look outside the yard. Here's a picture of Monty resting his head on the fence. Well, I couldn't get up on it at first but my legs have grown and now I can! Mom said she was worried that day was coming! She's worried that I will see something really cool and just go over the top...it's about 5 feet down. I really think a Porti could do that but she doesn't want me to try. When she came home from her exercise class, Dad had attached this little green edging fence to the top of our wood fence. That way, Monty can still rest his head on the top rail and I probably won't go over. They were talking about the first Golden they had, Happy, who would chew on the top rail and bark at dogs going by. I guess they put up an electric wire and he stopped after one hit. Granny helped Mom with that. I think I'll be good about the fence.

Mom has kind of messed up her dates and we are not going to Border's to read with the kids this week but rather next week. I'm kind of glad because we have a lot of other stuff going on. I still had to have a bath. Granny said I was looking dusty. Mom said she was going to trim me after I'm dry and that I need to stand still. Maybe if I look nice for puppy class those blondies will play with me.
